You probably already figured that without even reading the title, but I needed something attention-grabbing. To the very few of you that have actually gone out of your way to check out Total Collapse (few enough to count on one hand), I apologize for the inactivity. My personal life has been very eventful in ways both good and bad, and as a result it's left me with hardly any motivation to simply sit down and write. I have plenty of catching up to do—I still have yet to list all my favorite March releases, and we're nearing the end of April! Additionally, I've had other topics in mind that I've wanted to branch out to, but I could hardly even muster up the brainpower to begin writing—let alone make it sound anything more than phoned in. With that out of the way, let me explain briefly what's left me to put this on the backburner.

Last month, on 18th morning of March, I got a call from my mom breaking tragic news that Lola, my dearest dog who had been with me since I was four, had passed away of natural causes. While I had seen it coming sooner or later, it was still heartbreaking nonetheless. Thankfully, it didn't take me long to come to terms with it, as she passed away peacefully accompanied by my mother, and I couldn't be any happier about it. One of these days I intend to write a post of vast appreciation on her—all that she meant to me, her willingness to stay by my side through thick and thin, so on, so forth. I'm forever grateful that she has stayed with me throughout the vast majority of my life so far, and I can only hope that this will put into perspective my boundless love and appreciation for her.

With a myriad of events, such as home renovations, gatherings with some amazing new friends, outstanding live events, and the typical menial tasks that life throws at us, I've returned with more ideas—and hopefully, more of a drive to actually go through with them. Just to reiterate, Total Collapse is not an abandoned project, and I intend to keep it that way as long as I have a computer, regardless of how long it may be between posts. To those of you who have gone out of your way to read this, I appreciate you and hope life is treating you well. <3
